London’s only regular Italian pizzica night ft Pizziche, tarantelle, stornelli, joy and dance to the rhythm of the tamburello. Based in London, fast-paced dance-crazy party-driven pizzica and tarantella roots band from Salento and Southern Italy. A group of passionate expats from the Salento, Amaraterra has grown into a multi-national ensemble, presenting its audience with a joyful and energetic selection of pizzica and roots music from all over the south of Italy, and adapting its style of music to the vibrant and cosmopolitan world music scene without weakening the links to its traditional musical canon. London-based DJ Jamie Renton mixes up a unique dancefloor-filling musical blend: from roots reggae to Tarantella beats, salsa to ska, funk to soca, Afrobeat to the blues. Travelling to all kinds of places and spaces whilst keeping people moving with the good global groove. His sets are always upfull and buzzing with energy. Guaranteed to shake yer groove thang!
