Understanding The Industry & Q&A Session with Suzie Miller

Young writers often spend years trying to figure out the best way to break into industry and often playwrights can waste 5 years just firing off plays to everyone and anyone. But is this really the best approach? In this session Suzie Miller will talk about her own journey as a writer, across continents and across mediums and explore other ways of thinking about engaging the industry with your work. This will cover generating ideas, pitching and targeting specific theatres and be followed by a Q&A opportunity where Suzie will answer questions from participants about her journey and her work. Dates: Tuesday 13 May 2025 Time: 7pm – 9:30pm Running time of workshop: 2.5 hours – delivered in-person. Maximum class sizes are 16. A portion of spaces have been reserved for Share the Drama places. This session will be taking place at the 503Studio which is currently an open plan space that is still in development but you will have access to wifi, tables and chairs. The space is fully wheelchair accessible.
