Many actors feel the pull to write but get stuck waiting for a "proper idea" before they begin. But what if your actor instincts and your relationship to telling stories are already a complete engine for generating new writing? In this practical session, Tanya shares how she moved from actor to playwright by writing from instinct first before moving to concept. Through short exercises rooted in both emotional objective and character, you'll explore fresh ways to generate original material without starting from plot or theme. Participants will generate a starting point for original work. Ideal for actors stepping into writing, and writers who want their work to feel alive in the mind before it lives on the page. This is also an opportunity to ask about the practicalities of moving from actor, to actor-writer.
