1928. Virginia loves Vita. In a final attempt to show her devotion to their relationship, Virginia presents Vita with a novel inspired by her life. While the world around them rejects their chances, is there an ember of hope for the two women to live a romance that could last forever?
Meanwhile, in a different time and perhaps even a different world, an alternate Virginia and Vita keep meeting. Century after century, time after time. And maybe, just maybe, this is their chance.
I Love Vita is an exhilarating modern retelling of one of history's most tragic, failed romances. This play questions whether true love can ever outrun fate in a world where women have always belonged to someone else – or whether love is always bound by time, place and circumstance.
