Vagus Nerve & Physical Theatre Workshop, A fundraising workshop in support of Arches Lane Theatre
This session will explore the vagus nerve, breath, movement, sound, body awareness and physical theatre, creating an accessible and welcoming space for participants to reconnect with their bodies through creative practice.
It's an integrated experience to discover the powerful connection betweenyour nervous system and your physical presence. You will explore movement and physical theatre to gently activate and soothe your vagus nerve, cultivating deep self-awareness and releasing stored physical and emotional tension.
About the facilitator:
Jagoda Kamov is an award-winning playwright, theatre director and facilitator whose practice combines dramatic text with physical theatre, movement and embodied storytelling. She is a recipient of the Peggy Ramsay Foundation Playwrights '73 Award.
She has developed her physical-theatre practice through artist residencies with Babel Theatre, working with Joseph Lynch and Chris Evans, and with Temper Theatre, as well as through training with movement director Kate Flatt at the Young Vic. In November 2026, Jagoda will share her own methodology at Sadler's Wells, after being selected as one of six artists to lead an artist-led session.
Jagoda is currently creating and producing We Are All Fish, a physical-theatre production that will be presented at the Voilà! Theatre Festival in 2026.
Alongside her professional theatre work, she leads Body & Wellbeing community workshops in Haggerston, Hackney.
