An evening of poetry, music and theatrical mischief to celebrate the launch of Michael Glover's new book of poetry. Schoenberg's Ghost is an evening of poetry, music and theatrical mischief to celebrate the launch of Michael Glover's new book of poetry about Arnold Schoenberg, the 20th century Viennese Jewish composer whose modernist music bewildered and enraged so many of those who heard it for the first time.
The programme, hosted by Michael Glover, will be an interweaving of poetry read out loud by Kate Paul, Bridget Fry and Edward Russell-Walling, theatrical rascality from Jesse Dupre and Sophie Taylor of Haste Theatre, and Schoenberg's own music - played on the piano by Morgan Hayes, composer and Professor of Composition at the Royal Academy of Music.
