The Next Page Season is our annual festival of rehearsed readings of exciting plays in development. Writers get the chance to hear their work aloud and share it with a public audience. Friends, family and industry are invited, but strictly no reviewers! This is the time to take risks, experiment, and receive crucial feedback to help the next stage of development.
Some plays that have had readings as part of the programme have gone on to success at the Edinburgh Fringe, the Royal Court and entered further development with Omnibus Theatre.
"The Next Page Season gave me space and belief - key ingredients for writers and writing. I took 'Are You Watching?' from page to stage, saw what it could become, and felt its resonance in the room with the audience. It's an invaluable opportunity for all writers and makers." Georgie Dettmer
Georgie shared Are You Watching? as part of the Next Page Season 2025, which then transferred to the Royal Court to be a part of their 70th Anniversary Season in 2026.
